What would you do with your pet? If are unsure what you would do with your dog or cat if you want to hit the road, you have options. Although housing rules may vary, many will allow a pet. When you are negotiating your housing, be sure to mention you need a pet friendly apartment.

You think you are not experienced enough. Healthcare facilities may vary on the amount of experience they require. It may also depend on what area of healthcare you are working in. It’s not uncommon to work as a traveler after only a year or two of experience.

You worry you’re too old. Healthcare travelers come in all ages. Being a bit older may even be an advantage. You may have the confidence and maturity to handle change well. Maybe your kids are grownup, and you’re ready for a new adventure. Keep in mind that you are never too old to pursue your dream.

You need health benefits. If you need health insurance and that is what’s stopping you from working as healthcare traveler, you may be surprised. Most travel jobs will offer health insurance as soon as you start. When deciding on an assignment, be sure to ask about health insurance coverage.
